Philosophy of Missions
Our Mission program is built upon the Word of God and specifically seeks to follow the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19, 20; Mark 16:15 and Acts 1:8. We believe it is each member's responsibility to reach the world starting right here in Greenville and then branching out to other areas of our own country and then unto the uttermost part of the world. We do this both by our efforts to win people around us to Christ and by our sacrificial, financial giving to missions. We believe this is more than a soul winning campaign, but also one that teaches and trains the convert the things which we have learned. Therefore, we endeavor to present the gospel, teach and baptize the convert and have them tell others about God’s wonderful saving power to perpetuate the gospel in every corner of the world.
We support missionaries with the same goal and outreach. Every year we have a Mission Conference to highlight and revitalize our goal of reaching the World. It is our thought of Missions that will cause us to start churches throughout our country and around the world. In this way we will fulfill the great command to preach the gospel to every creature.
